Not a New Year's Revolution, but a Blogging Resolution!

While I am no where near as cute as the little boy who is now quite famous for his New Year's Revolution to eat more jelly beans, I nonetheless have made a Blogging Resolution! I am excited to team up with Diane from Fifth in the Middle New Years Blogging Resolution Link Up.

Blogging I just started this blog this summer and have found myself not always linking up to other people's blogs because I left my iPad with the cool pictures on it at school, didn't post about a mentor text idea because someone else had already posted amazing ideas for the book, had thoughts of ugh, everyone else would have already thought of that, etc... the list of excuses could go on and on and on! I am just going to throw those excuses out the window and do what my family says I do best... SOCIALIZE!! Blogging is like talking, I just have to comment and have people comment back so I don't go around constantly talking to myself!!

TPT Only a few months ago did I grab the courage to start a store. I know there are so many amazing products already on this site that how could anything I make really make an impact? After talking about it with my fellow teachers locally and my family, I decided to just throw all of my inhibitions to the wind and just go for it. I have only posted 3 items so far, but have about a dozen almost ready. I became a teacher to make a change in a kid's life. Well, maybe my 17 years of teaching will make a change in a teacher's life who will in turn make a change in numerous kids' lives! So far the posted products have been math, but language arts is next along with science and history.

Pinterest  I love Pinterest, but I can spend hours there!  With my daughter getting married, I now find myself dividing my time between teacher pins and wedding inspirations! I need to get better at posting my products there and pinning them! I just need more hours in the day!

For years I have heard that New Year Resolutions are made to be broken.... I don't believe that! That is an excuse for when the going gets tough... I vow to break that fallacy! Happy Blogging 2014! Here I come!

  1. I completely agree with your Blogging paragraph! I always worried that I would appear idiotic or like I didn't know what I was doing. That was tough to let go. Then I figured that there were others out there like me and we would soon find each other :) Thanks for linking up!
